RIDGEFIELD, N.J.—Robert Weikl, 91, died Monday, Nov. 16. He was the beloved husband of Erna; the loving father of Bob, Rudy and his wife Nancy, and Erik and his wife Carly; and a cherished Opa to Josef, Emily, Christina, Krissy, Katie, Olivia, and Lauren.
Weikl was born in Bodenmeis, Germany; he emigrated to the U.S. in 1951, and became a citizen in 1992.
He worked as a butcher for 26 years in North Bergen at Miller Abattoir. He was a beloved and kind man, soft spoken, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and working in his backyard garden.
Family and friends may visit Friday, Nov. 20 from 4-8 p.m. at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave. Ridgefield, 201-945-5032.
